It's getting close now -- as evidenced by the fact that I can't seem to fall asleep at night anymore. That MUST mean that a Disney trip is on the horizon.
Another sure sign that I'm heading south is that I've spent more time in PhotoShop in the past few days than I have in months. I've been working on a little surprise that I'll be allowed to reveal to you starting on Saturday and updating day-by-day until it's time for me to hop on my plane on Wednesday.
But... alas and alack -- terrible tragedy has befallen me. I think I lost my cell phone tonight! I'd been using it while waiting for my son to finish up his karate class (talking with Karen who conferenced in Jill when she called) and then, when we got home and were getting our stuff out of the garage, I must've put the phone on the roof of my car when I went to pull my purse out of the back seat. Why do I think this? Well, as I was racing off to the grocery store later, I heard a weird sort of slithering and clunking noise. Being that my car is almost 15 years old at this point, weird slithering and clunking noises are pretty much par for the course.... but not from the roof!
Anyway, I've since tried to retrace my steps -- in the pouring rain -- and saw no sign of my phone on the street. I'll check again tomorrow morning when the sun comes up, but I foresee a trip to the Verizon store to pick up a new phone. (I'm eyeing an LG enV3 in Slate Blue -- it has a pretty rockin' camera and a Qwerty keyboard, which are necessary to my "love" update habit.)
I'll let you know what I wind up with tomorrow. (Assuming, of course, that I don't find a mangled, yet usable phone lying beside the road tomorrow morning.)
